Michigan is in an economic crisis; our current government has not done what is necessary to bring positive economic growth back to Michigan. We are in dire need of fresh, innovative thinking and action to move Michigan ahead on the economic forefront. My educational and professional backgrounds in economics and marketing make me the ideal candidate for Michigan State Representative for the 1st district. I will develop sound strategies that will both encourage businesses to relocate to Michigan and streamline government expenditures.

I have been a lifelong resident of the 1st district and graduated from the Grosse Pointe School system. My baccalaureate degrees are in economics and marketing from Saint Joseph’s College in Indiana. Currently, I work at Deco Plas Inc. as the assistant process engineer.

I am a member of the Eastside Republican Club and Kiwanis International, Lac Saint Clair chapter. I have also done work for Covenant House and worked in school retreats.

My parents are John and Millicent Simon. My father is a practicing attorney and entrepreneur while my mother is an R.N. at Beaumont Grosse Pointe Hospital. I have an older sister and younger brother. My sister Natalie works at General Motors R* Works and my brother Paul attends Barry University.
